This shows he degrades one race and only considers himself Only One race. This is highly racist showing he is not even proud of who he is. Also I always thought mulatto was the proper term for a black/white mix person but my friend says that is considered insulting. What is the proper term if mulatto is insulting?

Mulatto is indeed the proper term. I am mulatto. However, I must call myself bi-racial or watch everyone go wide-eyed when I mention that word. Gets tiresome, after while.
Now, let me tell you a little secret. If you are bi-racial, you damn well BETTER call yourself black, or blacks will quick be saying you are trying to "pass". Oh, yes, they do.
