At the age of 50—after helping to birth professional skateboarding; after
hustling orange juice futures and working as a Hollywood stunt man and having
his face plastered across Times Square billboards; after dating runway models
and Oscar-winning actresses—Steve Olson had himself his first tabloid flare-
up. It came in the summer of 2011, as he was strolling through the West
Village with his girlfriend, the actress Paz de la Huerta.
“Paz says, ‘I think that’s a paparazzi guy,’” Mr. Olson explained while
obsessively drumming an unlit cigarette against a notebook as we sat in a
beautiful, airy Soho loft (it’s pal Curtis Kulig’s, the street artist). “I’m
like, ‘Fuck ’em. If they want a picture, I’ll give ’em a picture. And we
started kissing.” Later, gossip blogs would home in on the fact that Mr. Olson
was holding a skateboard. “They’re like, ‘Who’s this old guy trying to relive

Why do guys get such UGLY tattoos?
Why do guys usually insist on getting such UGLY tattoos? Skulls, punk rock band imagery, bio-mechanicals, etc? Images of hate, death, war, destruction? It goes on and on!
For a long time, I was of the opinion that tattoos looked far better on girls until I figured out that it wasn't who was getting the tattoo, it was the subject matter. Women generally get tattoos of something beautiful - why won't guys (with a few exceptions)?
I'm a guy. I have 3 roses on my lower back - because I wanted something with some beauty. Granted, a lot of guys wouldn't want a so-called "tramp stamp", and that's fine - but where-ever they choose to place their tattoos, why not get something pretty? Ugly tattoos just look, well, ugly. I also plan to get a Lotus flower on the nape of my neck - I seek beauty.
Before someone makes the snarky comment - I do just happen to be straight - not that that should have anything to do with anything. My wife supports me in this...
people are free to get whatever tattoo the choose. you dont like skulls, and death and hate, and im sure theres a shi t dic k load of people who dont like your tramp stamp.
