Navel piercing question.?

okay so i recently had my navel pierced, by a friend who needed a subject to use because she is getting her professional piercing license.

So i was pierced with a 14g hollow needle, sterilized. It was a very professional procedure, with clamps and everything.
The jewelery that was used is a 16g curved barbel.

Now its been 3 days. Right after she pierced it, when i went to touch the skin between the 2 balls, i noticed that i can actually feel the bar beneath my skin. Its very close to the top of my skin.

Now i read some things on navel rejection and migration, and im scared that its going to happen to me, since the piercing is pierced VERY shallow.

Im not sure if its normal, that i can feel the bar directly under my skin.
and im pretty sure that i've been seeing more of the barbels 2 ends.

So is this sounding like rejection or just migration?

it's normal to be able to feel the bar, remember your skin is soft and the bar is hard

for someone who wants to be a piercer it doesn't sound like she knew what she was doing she should not have put 16g jewelry in a 14g piercing, apart from the obvious size difference a 16g is a little too small for a navel piercing, that's also why it seems shallow

you can probably see more of the 2 ends of the barbell because the swelling has gone down since you had it done, it sounds like its doing fine if it was migrating or rejecting, you would know it would be red, swollen and painful
