Self Navel Piercing?
I am 13 years old, and my father disagrees with all piercings. I asked him on my birthday in September if I could get my navel pierced, and he said no. I left it alone until 2 weeks ago when I asked him again. He once again said no, and told me that if I wanted it done so badly to do it myself. I can promise you he didn't mean it, but oh well. I bought a kit online with the contents of a sterile needle, a navel clamp, a navel jewel, alcohol swab, a needle holder, aftercare solution, and a cork. Can someone please give me directions on how to use this kit to pierce my navel, and directions to correctly care for my new piercing? (No comments saying I shouldn't do it, because I am 13 and I am going to do it regardless of what a bunch of people on the internet, that I barely know, say.) Thanks.
I find Youtube videos are the best way to Learn How to self pierce. That's how I learned how to do all my mods. So, I suggest watching a BUNCH of those, carefully. You may also want to consider using ice to numb the area a bit. I find that piercing that first layer of skin and pushing through is the hardest and most painful.
As for care, wash it everyday with H2Ocean. Mine lasted longest when I used that. Just google search it or look it up on eBay.
I self did it twice and it rejected both times. It's such a pain in the butt to keep. It's irritated from day one and will have a tough time healing.
