Airbrush helpp!!?
i bought a nail airbrush gun today and im not sure if you need to buy any specific nail polish's for it or weather you can use normal nail polish's... please help as i do not want to ruin my airbrush gun! thanx
also i wanted to know, to use airbrush, do you need a compressor? because i bought mine off ebay and im not sure if it comes with a compressor. how much are the compressors roughly? and do i need to buy a certain make/model or any compressor?
I don't really know much about nails, but I use an airbrush every day. I'm sure they make pre-reduced nail polish for airbrush, but you can just use regular nail polish. Anything can be sprayed through an airbrush as long as it's reduced properly. Just thin your regular nail polish with acetone (nail polish remover). You'll want your paint to be about the same consistency as milk. Use acetone to clean you gun as well.
Here's another little tip to help you keep your airbrush in good health. When you clean your gun, don't be afraid to take it apart. It's the only way to truly clean it. Before you put it back together, put a very thin layer of Vaseline on the needle, all threaded parts, and a little on the bottom of the trigger post. This will protect your investment.
