What major would coloring/inking for other's manga be?

I'm interested in coloring and inking Japanese manga. I love using Photoshop and animation. I like to draw as well, but I'm not good at it because I never properly learned how to draw.
What majors would these characteristics fall under? I'm going to be a senior next year.

This may fall under illustration, printmaking or digital art. To be honest, however, I don't think you want to look into a career as an assistant for a mangaka, unless you plan on moving to Japan. The Business here is not big, and the requirement for assistants is not nearly as large, since the market for manga is in English speaking countries is not nearly what it is in Japan.

If you are serious about pursuing a career in inking, then look into traveling to Japan. They have schools specifically for manga drawing. If you are curious about the making of manga as a whole, I would suggest reading Bakuman.

And don't say you never properly learned how to draw either. It's something that comes with practice and practice and more practice. Since manga isn't popular in the United States, every bit of skill I have at drawing it is self taught or from internet tutorials. If you can ink well and color, work on the actual drawings. You may have more talent than you think, but you putting yourself down is getting you nowhere.

The sad truth is that if you want to go to school for art, you are probably going to have to present a portfolio. Work hard on your drawings. Your best bet at this point would probably be digital art, but don't limit yourself to that.
