To Christopher Robin: I haven't tattooed anyone with my new "machine" (if you prefer the conceited euphemism) because I intend on learning everything there is about cleaning it properly before I do. So piss off.
To Mstattooed: I wasn't asking for your respect and I certainly don't need it. I don't feel like telling my life story on here. I just asked a simple question. I am a new artist, just starting out. I have not tattooed anyone without the supervision of a licensed artist in a legitimate Tattoo Shop. Did I say that I've tattooed anyone without cleaning my equipment? No. So please stop making accusations and climb off your f***ing high horse.

Um, no. There isn't. You need an autoclave, plain and simple.

Madicide is for surfaces, not instruments. Boiling water does about as much as pissing on it. Ultrasonics are for cleaning, you need to get your tools spotlessly clean. Scrubbing and soaking isn't enough. If there's any residue, sterilization doesn't penetrate it, and as soon as you get them wet with ink, you'll just reactivate whatever's hiding in the residue.

Stove top Pressure cookers are garbage - DO NOT TRUST THEM. They are not approved by anyone as a sterilizer, and do not regularly pass a spore test. The pressure and heat are too inconsistent to be a sterilizer- something you need to be 100% reliable and consistent. Just because CAM sells them, doesn't mean they're any good. CAM is one of the worst supply companies around and is just trying to take your money. You need an N class or B class autoclave and and ultrasonic - no exceptions. These are set practices that reputable tattoo artists follow to keep our clients safe.
