Proper Way of Folding Office and Business Letters
White A4 paper is considered to be the most common type of paper used to send out correspondences. These letters must fit right inside envelopes depending on the type of envelope being used. There are different ways to properly fold white A4 paper correspondences. Folding affects opinion and image of the company representing these letters. This shows the company pays full attention in all aspects, making a lasting impression to other people. The most common type of business envelope used in the office is a number 10 envelope. To make white A4 paper letters fit inside these envelopes perfectly, follow the next steps. Place the letter on a flat surface to begin folding. Grasp the center bottom edge of the white A4 paper, bringing it up towards the top edge of the paper. Visualize the paper into three sections, and crease the paper about two-thirds of the way up the page. To prevent the paper from opening, use a ruler or any object with weight to press the crease firmly. Make sure the inside address and the salutation can be read after making the first fold. This ensures the sender is able to view their names once the white A4 paper is unfolded. Holding the top centre edge of the white A4 paper, fold the paper down towards the first crease made, making sure to leave out at least a third of an inch from the first fold. Use a ruler again to firmly crease the last fold. The white A4 paper can now be placed inside a number 10 envelope and sent to the recipient.

notes and correspondences, fold the white A4 paper in half from the shorter side of the sheet and unfold afterwards. The intention is to make a crease right in the middle to be used as reference. Using the middle crease, fold each side of the white A4 paper towards this crease for both ends to meet right in the middle. Doing so will result in three paper creases and four equal rectangles along the white A4 paper. Unfold the white A4 paper again. Fold the middle crease securely. Next, using the outer creases fold the paper away from the middle crease, showing top and bottom contents of the letter. The white A4 paper can now be inserted in an envelope or stapled by itself.
