Glass test tubes for medium/ long term seed storage.?

I understand that seeds need to be stored in cool/ dry conditions for long term storage. I also understand that nothings completely airtight and over a period of time water vapour will eventually seep through airtight containers.

Are test tubes with stoppers even air tight?....,,if so
What type of stopper/ test tube would create the best airtight barrier against moisture?
Is there a better option out there for me as I'm not a scientist.?
I've already heard about those moisture barrier bags but I'm not keen because I'm after something that can be often opened and closed and the bags / sealing equipment costs a small fortune.

Any info/ suggestions would be a great help thanks.

I prefer to stay away from glass storage due to risk of breakage, and test tubes are too small for me to properly store my seed.
What I have found to work the best is using the sealable Mylar bags, which are very affordable, durable, and they can be sealed and resealed easily using a regular household clothes iron and a piece of wood. You don't need the expensive heat-sealers. Do NOT use the zip-top bags - the plastic zip-tops are not airtight, but the Mylar is.
The best way to preserve your seed for long-term is to dry it properly (between 4-8% moisture content) and then freeze it. This can extend produce seed life for 40+ years. Use food-grade desiccant to dry it properly.
I bought my first from a web store at www.arkinstitute.com and they taught me how to do it myself from there on out, which has been easy and successful. It was also non-GMO seed so it can be grown year after year. You can also check some of the "survivalist" and "prepper" sites out there, but sometimes those sites can get a little off-topic...
